Chinese Optics (Chinese phonetic alphabet: ZhongGuo GuangXue), supervised by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is co-sponsored by the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics, and Physics (CIOMP), CAS and Chinese Optical Society (COS). Chinese Optics started publishing (ISSN: 2095-1531) bimonthly in both mainland and abroad in 2008.

The editor-in-chief of this Journal is Prof. Jiaqi Wang, academician of CAS and famous scientist in the field of optics in China, and the director of editorial committee is Prof. Jianlin Cao, vice minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. There are 91 members of editorial committee including 13 academicians. They are all the experts and academic leaders from key universities, research institutes at home and abroad, who have made outstanding achievements in the field of optics.

Chinese Optics reports on developing trends, significant new findings and new physical insights in worldwide optics, and offers prompt publication of review papers bearing on all branches of science, engineering, and modern technology in optics. The purpose of this journal is to promote the generation, application and archiving of knowledge in optics and to disseminate it worldwide, and provide a rapid forum for the dissemination of research articles and review articles across the optics research.

The main scopes of this journal include micro-nano optics, information optics, integrated optoelectronics, spectroscopy and spectrum instruments, laser technology and applications, optical functional materials, optics functional materials, optics design and technique, atmospheric and space optics, optical instrument and measurement, review, etc.

Chinese Optics persists in the purpose to service scientific research and industries all along. With international editing standard and English edition of copyright, content and abstract, the academic and editing qualities of this journal have been improved remarkably.

Times cited, clicking rate and download quantity of single article in this journal have been increasing.
